Official Film of KWWSPCA, a registered charity.

Official film of the Kildare and West Wicklow Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. KWWSPCA is a registered charity established in 1940 to prevent animal cruelty and is affiliated to the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA).
Along with the increased population of County Kildare and West Wicklow, there has been a corresponding increase in the number of suspected and actual cases of neglect and outright cruelty to animals, as well as an increase in road and other accidents involving animals. The aims of the KWWSPCA are:
- To inspect reported cases of cruelty to animals and advise the Gardai accordingly.
- To provide shelter for all distressed animals and birds, both domestic and wild.
- To survey, on a continuing basis, places of concern.
- To attend accidents involving animals, and provide relief, where necessary.
- To re-home domestic animals and return wild animals to their natural habitat, where appropriate.
- To provide guidance and education to animal owners, where necessary.
- Where funding allows, to provide a subsidy towards neutering and spaying domestic pets where their owners are in financial difficulties.
