Exploring the Potential Worlds of Living Architecture | J. Eric Mathis | TEDxAsheville

J. Eric Mathis will share an introspective exploration of how evolution can be a creative force for both changing our present world as well as developing our inter-personal explorations of the future. Moving from being an experimental activist to a practitioner of sustainability to an architect of regenerative design and innovation to a budding pro-activist, Eric will share his personal journey of taking theory into the world and perhaps, more importantly, bringing the world into theory.

Making a name for himself by co-designing what is considered by many one of the most advanced coal transition strategy in the US, J. Eric Mathis has been at the forefront of sustainability initiatives throughout the southeast with a specific focus on regenerative design and innovation. Building what he refers to as a regenerative parallel processor designed to breed innovative transition strategies within both the energy and agriculture sectors, Mr. Mathis is presently co-designing an agriculture/energy nexus strategy for the bio-regions of the southeast beginning in WV (energy) and his home state NC (agriculture).
